Emily is from the UK and moved to New Zealand in 2022 after living in Cardiff, South Wales, where she completed her BSc in Physiotherapy and then worked for 5 years. Emily has extensive experience working within the UK NHS throughout a variety of disciplines including Trauma and Orthopaedics, Musculoskeletal Outpatients, Stroke and Respiratory to name a few. She has also treated patients pre & post orthopaedic surgeries in a private UK hospital. From a young age Emily has been involved in dance, gymnastics, and cheerleading and in recent years has both competed and coached. Such interests have led Emily to working with physiotherapists at Gemau Cymru (Games Wales), assisting in the care of young gymnasts. Emily has a strong patient centered approach and is keen to further her career whilst combining her love for travel here in New Zealand.

Mindfulness in a Nutshell
Nobody comes to PHYSIOSOUTH to learn mindfulness. Patients come because of a physical injury, e.g. a back problem, a knee problem etc. Our belief systems tell most of us that a physical injury of a certain degree or size causes a related amount of pain. Like injury X = X amount of pain, and injury Y = Y amount of pain. This is incorrect.
