Lizzie grew up in the far north. Her main childhood passion was dance and she went on to train to a pre-professional level in Classical Ballet at the NZ School of Dance in Wellington. Later, she moved to Auckland to study Physiotherapy and worked in two busy musculoskeletal clinics. Lizzie believes that both manual therapies and exercise-based rehabilitation are as important as one another on the road to recovery. Lizzie has a special interest in post-operative rehabilitation, and pilates-based strengthening plays a big part in her rehab plans. Surgery is just the first step in the rehab program; Lizzie is passionate about getting her patients back to their baseline level of function and taking the strengthening one step further to reduce the likelihood of injury recurrence. In her spare time, Lizzie enjoys reformer pilates, ballroom and Latin dance classes and she is trying hard to learn Spanish. She moved to Christchurch in 2023 and hopes to make the most of living near the beach by learning to surf!
