Jeanette qualified with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy in 2001, and a Bachelor of Physical Education (Honours in Exercise Physiology) in 1996, both from the University of Otago. She has a strong clinical interest in Vocational Rehabilitation (helping people return to work following injury), post-operative rehabilitation, and functional biomechanics/overuse sporting injuries. She is heavily involved in the cycling community, and coordinates a women’s mountain bike group ride with skills practice at the weekends. Jeanette has represented NZ in athletics (as a junior), and as an elite level mountain biker. She is also a former Coast to Coast winner, and has an in-depth understanding of these sports and the mindset of an athlete.
