Lidia Belles is a highly experienced physiotherapist with over two decades of clinical and elite sports experience, specialising in musculoskeletal and sports injury management. Based in Christchurch, New Zealand, Lidia serves as an Advanced Practitioner at Physiosouth where she leads clinical development, staff performance, and patient care initiatives with a strong commitment to evidence-based practice.

Lidia has worked extensively with national and international athletes, including serving as team physiotherapist for the New Zealand Tall Ferns (women’s national basketball team), the Canterbury Rams, Pouakai and various other elite teams in basketball, cricket, and other sports. Her expertise spans advanced biomechanical assessments, manual therapy, dry needling, acute injury management, and end-stage rehabilitation, with a deep understanding of athlete health during travel and competition.

Holding a Master of Science in Health Practice (Musculoskeletal) from Auckland University of Technology and a BSc (Hons) in Rehabilitation Therapy from Manchester University, Lidia brings academic rigor to her practice. She is also ASCA Level 1 certified and CPR trained.
